Cupcake's Second Annual Halloween Awards, 2010 Edition!

Today was the school Halloween party. I'm going to give out "awards" for best costumes in the fifth grade, and then a few honorable mentions here and there.

And the award for Most Edible Costume goes to...
Three people who were all dressed as bananas! Two people planned it, but the third didn't.

And the award for the Most Halloween-y  Costume goes to...
One of my friends who painted her face black and her hair green, wore black clothes, and put a real pumpkin on her head.

And the award for Probably Most Uncomfortable Costume goes to...
Two kids who were the Men In Black. They wore black suits, black ties, and black sunglasses.

And the award for the Quietest Costume goes to...
My friend who was a mime. She had a black striped shirt, black pants, black hat, white gloves, and silence.

And the award for Most Painful Costume goes to...
A kid who wore a shark costume and his shoes on his hands. It looked like he had been swallowed by a shark!

And the award for Most ANNOYINGLY Original Costume goes to...
A boy who dressed as Justin Bieber. He could have been an exact match, except he didn't have the hat, and he had blond hair.

And the award for Best Overall Costume goes to...
Cupcake, come on down! Your costume was the best! After all, dressing as a chef and walking around saying, "Hi! Vote for me!" and doing the Thriller dance is pretty darn creative and awesome.

Me: Oh, well! How unexpected! *Dab at my eyes as I walk up and shake the hand of some guy in a suit.* Well, I'd like to thank the academy...

And special honors for: Four of those big-shot sixth grade boys dressed up as the Teletubbies! Now, that was a sight to see.

The first grade teachers were Goldilocks and the three bears.

The second grade teachers were hippies. Those were awesome!

Happy Halloween! Oh, and remember: Vote for me!

Umm... Yola?

Hi... Sorry I haven't been posting.

I have been really busy. I know that's the normal excuse, but I mean it. I have end of year everything. We are now learning to map the United States of America. Plus, I am already planning Halloween costumes. Chili, me, and another one of our friends have two good ideas so far. But I can't tell you what they are unless you PROMISE not to copy off us. If you really, REALLY care, send me an e-mail and I will tell you. Just press the little pink and white envelope in the lower right hand corner.

I am still kinda bored. But not as bored as... Umm... Well... Hmm... *Smoke comes out of my ears and head* *Grunting* Brain... Computing... Thinking... DING! OMG? Guess what? Cheese is so good! And yellow! And holey! And yellow!

Okay, hum....

'Kay, bye now!

Halloween

So I know it's not Halloween yet, but let me tell you about the school day. (Or at least, just the Halloween costumes.)

I'm going to give awards to all my friends for their great costumes.

Funniest: the unplanned trio of ketchup, mustard, and a hot dog
No, not that realistic

Buddiest: the Twister Twins, who wore spinners on their heads, Twister mat dresses, and go-go boots
Make this x2

Most Thrilling: Michael Jackson
Also the scariest person award

Most Appealing: Banana boy
Love this picture!

Most Magical: The two Hermiones
Way overused.

Best Costume Overall: ME! (And my friend, because our costumes go together.)
Her

MeGuess who?

My mom's friend's son was corn. He wanted to win the corniest prize. I wonder if he won. I wonder if I can find a picture.

Halloween Update

Yesterday my helmet arrived in the mail. It looks great!

But It's Only August 19th!

Is what my mom keeps telling me. There's also "But Halloween is 2 months away! We'll get you an owl in time!"

Key words: Halloween. Owl.

What does this mean to you? And don't say Harry Potter, because I was Hermione last year. And there's this too about that.

Seriously? Oh my god. Is that a hint?

I'm going to be Athena! If you don't know who Athena is, she's the Greek goddess of wisdom, and one of my fictional idols. Here are some pictures.

Here is her story:

Athena, otherwise known as Minerva is a daughter of the god Zeus and the Titan's daughter Metis, who was Titaness of prudence. Zeus swallowed her in the form of a fly so that if she had a boy, he would not overthrow Zeus.
She had a girl.
My theory is that Athena grew up inside her father's head.
One day Zeus had a really really bad headache. So Hephaestus, the god of fire, took a hammer and split Zeus's head open. Out came Athena fully grown dressed in full battle armor with gray eyes. For more of her story check out this book I like. Here's a picture link. And here's an Amazon link.

Bonjour, Amigos!

I know. I don't take Spanish so I'm bad at it. I have a six day Thanksgiving break, and all my friends are out of town. So I thought I'd say hi. How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was fine. Excited for the holidays? Ready for Halloween yet? Wait. Am I rushing you? Are you ready for summer? Winter? Spring? Fall? Got together wishlists for everything?

Am I giving you a headache? Well? Well? WELLLLLLLLL????? Huh, huh, HUHHHHHHH?????

Bye bye!

Guess Who?

This is my Halloween costume. Can YOU guess who I'll be?

Notice: WAND.

Now. Who am I?

To be continued...

Tomorrow I will post the answer. Come if you want to see...

Wordless Wednesday: Well, Isn't It True?
